If there were 2 things I could say to my younger self in this picture, it would be stop slouching and put away the baby oil.

When I look back – everyone was all about that bronzed skin, thinking baking in the sun was considered the key to feeling good and looking great! In the days of baby oil and tanning beds, little did we know what was lurking beneath those rays; premature aging and deadly skin cancer. SPF was merely a number on a bottle associated with preventing sunburn, and UV rays were underestimated or ignored, leading to a lack of awareness about the importance of consistent sun protection.
Well here at Lokenani, I understand that effective sun protection shouldn’t come at the expense of comfort or aesthetics, so this Summer 2024 I will introduce our first ever Sunscreen into our product lineup.
“Stay Shady” Mineral Sunscreen is gentle, lightweight, highly protective with a dewy finish. Here are a few highlights for you to woo over.
20% Zinc Oxide
Known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for sensitive skin and providing added benefits beyond sun protection.
Titanium Dioxide
Provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Forms a protective barrier on the skin that reflects and scatters UV radiation, helping to prevent sunburn, skin damage, and skin cancer. Additionally, titanium dioxide is often well-tolerated by sensitive skin and is less likely to cause irritation or allergic reactions compared to chemical sunscreen ingredients.
Vitamins C & E will combat free radical damage
Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant, supporting collagen synthesis for skin health, boosting immune function, and aiding in wound healing. Vitamin E also functions as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage, supporting immune function.
Non-comedogenic
Doesn't clog pore and is suitable for people with oily or acne-prone skin because it won't cause breakouts.
Stay Shady Sunscreen will be the perfect companion for all your outdoor adventures, from beach days to hiking trips and everything in between.

DID YOU KNOW.... Skin cancer rates have been rising steadily, with over 5 million cases diagnosed each year in the United States alone. Approximately 90% of non-melanoma skin cancers and 86% of melanomas are associated with exposure to UV radiation from the sun.
